With any city on the beach, there's always some unique shops and areas for shopping. Panama City Beach is no different and provides a number of great places to go shopping. If you're looking for a place outside the normal, here are a few great choices found throughout the area.

 

Pier Park

As one of the best shopping destinations in Panama City Beach, Pier Park has to be on the list. It's a shopper's paradise with more than a million square feet of shops, restaurants and more. This is your typical mall with a twist because of the way it's set up and because of the location. You can find Pier Park on Front Beach Road and be prepared to enjoy far more than just shopping.

Living in Panama City Beach provides great weather all year long, but this area isn't immune to those hot summer days. During these hot days, it's nice to spend time cooling off at the only waterpark in the area. Shipwreck Island provides you with plenty of great rides and great ways to cool off as a family. The park covers 20 acres and provides beautiful landscaping, plenty of fun activities and more.

The Coconut Creek Family Fun Park is the perfect place for the entire family to enjoy time together. With Mini-golf, a maze and more, you can enjoy all types of activities as a family at this park. There's so much to enjoy and children under the age of 6 get to play free of charge!

Coconut Creek includes two mini-golf courses with an African Safari theme. These courses provide great challenge for everybody and fun for kids and adults. Each course provides a little different look at the game and the kids will love the large animals found throughout the course including elephants, giraffes and more.

One of the main reasons people leave northern states and move to Florida for the winter or full time is the amazing weather. With over 300 days of sunshine every year, the state is a golfer's paradise. Living in Panama City Beach provides a unique opportunity for all golfers to play the Camp Creek Golf Club. This course is part of the Troon group of courses, which are some of the best found throughout the entire world.

Found off Highway 98, this course is a perfect natural haven for all to enjoy. It's a Tom Fazio designed course measuring about 7,200 yards with beautiful fairways, perfectly place bunkers and a view from the tee box everybody can enjoy. Friday Fest is the largest street festival in the area held from March through November. As Panama City is awakened with plenty of music, food and fun, all local residents and visitors can enjoy Friday Fest on the first Friday of every month. Over 200 show cars, more than 50 vendors and plenty of live bands take over the six-block area of Harrison Avenue to provide all kinds of entertainment for everybody.

Many of the shops and restaurants found in the area will stay open until 10pm, allowing those in attendance to enjoy plenty of shopping and dining. It doesn't matter if you've ever been to the festival or not, this is a great time and one that serves over 10,000 people every month.

Miracle Strip Pier Park is one of the most popular places to spend time with the family in Panama City Beach. It's been around for many years and the original MSAP still holds a special place in the hearts of many locals. Even though the park isn't as big as it once was, it's still a great place to enjoy a full day with the family. From rides to the beautiful views, there's something for everybody to fall in love with again.

Rides and Attractions

Some of the original rides have been preserved and others have been added to the park. The park opened back in 1964, but was closed in 2004 before it reopened in 2009 with the original Carousel. The park now includes the following rides and attractions:

Frank Brown Aquatic Center

Frank Brown Park is the place for all kinds of sports from basketball to shuffle-board. Of course, there's more than just sports happening at the park. Residents enjoy watching their kids play a number of sports, along with the many trails and the dog park and dog beach. There's always something going on at the park.

Found along Choctawhatchee Bay, the Village of Baytowne Warf is the heart and soul of Sandestin. This area features many eateries, shops, a lively nightlife and more. If you live in the area or you're visiting, this is one of the places you can find a number of great events and festivals to attend.
