Art and Entertainment Events Starting in October

Regular events are held throughout Destin and the surrounding area all year long. Many of these events fall into the Art and Entertainment category. Here are some of the best choices starting in October.

Mullet Festival

This will be the 37th annual Mullet Festival and it will be held on October 19th and 20th. The festival will include carnival rides, booths, attractions, crafts and so much more. Great music will be provided by Vince Gill, Justin Moore and Thompson Square. Tickets are available for the event and vary in price depending on how many days you attend.

Best of the Emerald Coast Event

The winners of the Best of the Emerald Coast awards will be presented at this event from 6pm to 9:30pm on October 19th. This event will provide many local businesses and individuals with awards for food fashion, entertainment, fun and more. Whether you want to see who wins or you want to enjoy the live music, silent auction, restaurants, beer and wine, you can come out for $30 in advance or $40 the day of the event.

Chronic Jester

With plenty of great music on Tuesday nights, this event will happen at Hammerhead's Bar and Grille every week. It will feature rock, funk, reggae and blues acts.

Wednesday Baytowne Wharf Concert Series

Free concerts will be held every Wednesday including October 23rd at the Village of Baytowne Wharf at Sandestin. The event on October 23rd will feature the Forrest Williams Band from 6pm to 8pm, while October 30th will feature Scott Rockwood.

Sinfonia Gulf Coast

This is a program providing guests with the ability to enjoy the orchestra and many guest artists. Events will happen once a month through March and will feature many different artists. Season tickets are $265 and shows start at 7pm.
