Grand Boulevard About to Become the Center for the Festival of Trees

With a dozen well decorated Christmas trees on display, you can see some of the best lights and trees in the area. The public can view these trees from November 26th to December 25th in Grand Park. The winners have been announced and you can come out to find out which trees were chosen at the best.

Many charity organizations are participating in this event including:

  • Alaqua Animal Refuge
  • Building Homes for Heroes
  • Children in Crisis
  • Children's Volunteer Health Network
  • Destin Charity Wine Auction Foundation
  • Emerald Coast Children’s Advocacy Center
  • Emerald Coast Relay for Life
  • Fisher House of the emerald Coast
  • Guardian Ad Litem
  • Junior League of the Emerald Coast
  • OASIS of Northwest Florida
  • Shelter House

All of these not-for-profits are competing for cash and prizes totaling $5,000. Awards will be given for People's Choice and Best of Show.

The event is provided to the public at no cost and can be enjoyed throughout the holiday season. Whether you want to come out on your own or you prefer to bring the entire family, you're sure to enjoy the beautiful trees.

Each tree is uniquely decorated and most have some type of theme. From the Shelter House tree with plenty of purple, snowflakes and a sleigh full of presents to the Children of Crisis tree with small handprints and plenty of presents under the tree, you will find all types of great choices for viewing.

Come out any time between now and Christmas to enjoy the decorated trees. Maybe you will find a few ideas you can use for your own tree before you start decorating your Christmas tree for the holiday season this year.
