Gulf Coast Triathlon

 

 

The event is held annually on Mother's Day weekend and is the U.S.'s oldest not-for-profit triathlon. It is a world-class event that brings triathletes and their supporters from all over. Since the event was founded, it has led the Bay County community in promoting health and wellness in the area. 

 

Sponsors of the 32nd Annual Gulf Coast Triathlon are Royal American Beach Getaways, The Boardwalk Beach Resort, Shot Bloks Electrolyte Chews, Clif Bar, Gatorade, Bay Medical and Dragon Sports. 

 

There will be several waves of triathletes, beginning with the first wave at 6:15 a.m. for the swim course. The course is an about and back course that begins at the east side of the Boardwalk Beach Resort. All athletes must complete the swim by 8 a.m. The Bike Start closes at 8:10 a.m. The Bike Course closes at 12:30 p.m. The Run Start Closes at 12:45 p.m. and no times will be recorded after 4 p.m. 

 

Dinner tickets can be purchases for the Awards Party held at 6 p.m. to celebrate the accomplishments of all of the triathletes. There are several awards categories based on events and age groups. Brightroom will be shooting photos of the event, and you will be able to view and purchase shots from the Brightroom website. Time results will be posted continually throughout the day and will be available online the day following the race. 

 

The event helps bring together athletes, sponsors, volunteers and supporters to create a celebratory environment that is a testament to the strength and endurance of human nature. Some be inspired and cheer on all of the great triathletes in the 32nd Annual Gulf Coast Triathlon!
