Ok. So you just received a PCS to Panama City / Tyndall AFB. First of all, congratulations, that is like receiving a ticket to Paradise. Seriously! Life is great here and there are lots of things to do, places to see and a lifestyle that is like no other. But what we have found over the years is that relocations for military families are different and requires someone to understand your needs. Tyndall AFB has privatized military housing
At Tyndall Air Force Base, Balfour Beatty Communities owns and manages the privatized housing for on base residents. They are esponsible for the maintainance, repair, constructiion and management of the housing. You also have the option to purchase homes or rent off base in the local community. Lots of choices!
BAH vs the cost of owning a home vs renting
This is a common concern for military families. We are happy to help you evaluate what the opportunities are and help you determine the BEST solution for your family. We can help you look at the BAH (Base Allowance for Housing) and then show you how much home that could buy or rent locally.

We want to find the best possible schools for our kids. Military families move more often and this make finding the right school extra important Here are some resources that we show people who are moving into the area:
GreatSchools.org - This is a wonderful resource for comparing your child's current school to their new area.
Education.com - Another similar resource...we recommend that you look at both and especially find parent and student reviews.
Of course the easiest way to research schools is to call us an ask. We have helped many people relocate here and we have learned over the years how to answer virtually EVERYTHING that someone might ask.
