It’s that time of year when everybody’s getting the house decorated, shopping for gifts and preparing for family events. There is nothing better than enjoy some holiday events around town with family and friends. Panama City Beach has some great events planned from their annual festival of trees, musicals and ugly sweat parties. Here is what you should check out this holiday season near Panama City Beach.
Festival of Trees
Right after Thanksgiving weekend is the Festival of Trees at the Marina Civic Center. It starts December 2nd-5th. The event will include:
- Lunch with Santa
- Live music and gourmet hors d’oeuvres.
- Mother’s morning out with coffee and bidding on the trees
- Fashion show
- Touring the uniquely decorated trees
- Santa Pinewood Derby Race
- Boutique gift shop
- Baked goods
The event will help benefit the Panama City Rescue Mission’s Bethel Village home for children and women. It takes place at the Bethel Village campus at 1313 E 11th Street.
Musicals at Northside Baptist Church
Check out the upcoming Adult Christmas Musical and Kids Christmas Musical this December. Northside Baptist Church is located at 530 Airport Road in Panama City. These events are both free. The Adult Christmas Musical is on December 7th at 6pm and will feature music and drama by the adult choir.
The Kids Christmas Musical is December 14th at 6pm and will featuring drama and music by Our Children’s Ministry. This will be a great way to get in the holiday spirit.
Ugly Christmas Sweater Party
Check out the Holiday Ugly Sweater Party at Marina Cantina on December 17th. It’s located at 5550 North Lagoon Drive in Panama City. The party starts at 7pm till 1am and the cost to get in is an un-opened toy to donate to the Toys for Kids Christmas Ball. There will be prizes for the best ugly sweater and most original sweater. There will be entertainment, prizes and fun.
