Right between Tyndall Air Force Base and Port St. Joe you’ll find beautiful Mexico Beach. This small beach town is located in Bay County, Florida. The origin of Mexico Beach is unknown, but rumor has it that Caribbean Pirates used the area in the 1800s.

The Mexico Beach area is unique in that it still offers the small beach town feel. You can still drive down Highway 98 and capture the breathtaking views of the Gulf of Mexico.

Homes in Mexico Beach range from $150,000 to over a million dollars. On the lower end of the scale you will mostly find condominiums, many of them ready to rent out. Many of the more expensive properties for sale that you'll find in Mexico Beach are large homes built right on the beach or canal. Mexico Beach History

When Highway 98 was constructed in the 1920’s, Felix DuPont purchased the land to farm resin for turpentine. After several years of farming, DuPont sold the land to a group of investors who turned the area into Mexico Beach.
