The Gulf Coast School for Autism was founded to serve students with Autism, Down Syndrome and related disabilities. Each day, the school strives to establish communication with a focus on cognitive, sensory, social and motor development. The school uses total communication which includes verbal, PECS, sign language and technology. The school also uses Applied Behavior Analysis to study variables that influence behavior.
