Halloween will be a fun time of the year throughout the South Walton area and there will be plenty of great events happening for the holiday. This is just the start when it comes to the many events that will happen throughout the rest of the year. Here are the best choices for your Halloween fun.

Howl-O-Ween Pet Parade & Pumpkin Drop

For those with a four-legged friend, this is the event of the season. It will happen on October 18th from 4pm to 6pm and will include plenty of fun. Prizes will be awarded for the best dog and owner costume duo and a huge pumpkin filled with treats for the kids will be dropped. Raffle tickets will also be available for prizes and the proceeds will benefit the Alaqua Animal Refuge.

Admission is free and the event will happen on West La Garza Lane in Alys Beach.

Halloweener Derby at Seaside

If you've ever wanted to see some of the most interesting dog racing, this is the event for you. IT will feature an all-dachshund race with multiple heats and a championship round. Along with the race, there will be a pet costume contest and the dogs will strut their stuff on the Seaside Amphitheater Stage.

The event will happen on October 26th from 9am to 2pm at 25 Central Square in Seaside.

Trick-or-Treat off the Street

Perfect for families with children 13 and under, this event will provide safe trick-or-treating at the Silver Sands Premium Outlets. Wear your best costume, collect goodies and enjoy all the fun. Participating stores will have a pumpkin sign in their window and admission is free.

Trick-or-Treat Street at Baytowne

Another free event with fireworks, frights and fun will be held in Destin on the Sandestin Resort. This event will provide plenty of family-friendly fun throughout the Village streets. You can college goodies from merchants, Dance as a DJ plays and enjoy the fireworks. The event will start at 6pm on October 31st.
