Gulf Coast Triathlon    Today is the 32nd Annual Gulf Coast Triathlon! Each year, the event is hosted at Boardwalk Beach Resort where 1,500 triathletes gather to compete in a 1.2 mile swim in the gulf, 56-mile bike ride through Bay County and a 13.1 mile run through residential neighborhoods in Panama City Beach. The Gulf Coast Triathlon even includes relay teams!    The event is held annually on Mother's Day weekend and is the U.S.'s oldest not-for-profit triathlon. It is a world-class event that brings triathletes and their supporters from all over. We've all made mistakes.  Some we want to admit to and others we don't.  I made several tonight.  Basically I learned not to work on major projects when I am mentally and physically spent.  The other thing I learned was that Southwest Airlines comes by their good reputation honestly and Delta works daily to maintain their reputation for utter frustration and poor customer service.  

Not to put you through torture to get to the point, I'll share the "short version".  I was trying to book a trip to the Real Estate Webmasters conference in Nanaimo BC for my husband, son and I.  We had planned to visit Seattle to see friends and family on our way there and back.  I was very proud of myself as I had managed to arrange a flight, hotel, car rental and ferry

Sea Turtle Nesting Season Begins

The beginning of May marks the start of nesting season for the area's tiniest residents. From May through October, the picturesque white sand of South Walton beaches is where endangered turtles build their nests.   The two most common species of turtles in the area are the green sea turtles and loggerheads.   Green sea turtles can weigh up to 700 pounds and are among the largest sea turtles in the world.
