Panama City Beach is full of great water sports for those already in love with the ocean and those looking to find their new love for the water. Whether you want to spend time swimming, boating, snorkeling or one of the many other choices, Panama City Beach is the right place for a variety of water sports.

It's not a question of what to do, but how to do as much of it as possible. Whether you need lessons, equipment or just someone to enjoy your favorite water activity with, you can find it here. Some of the many water activities offered in the area include:

Paddleboarding

This new, trendy activity provides all kinds of fun for those looking to get started with something simple. Not that it's easy to paddleboard, but it’s certainly easier to learn than surfing or some of the other water activities. Riders stand on a big board and paddle across the water. Lessons are available from a variety of places throughout the area.

Diving & Snorkeling

With excellent water, weather and underwater landscape, this is the place for divers. Whether you're new to diving or you've been at it for years, there's plenty to see underwater in Panama City Beach.

Kiteboarding or Kitesurfing

A unique water sport with a small board and the help of the wind, this is a fun sport to watch or participate. Shell Island is one of the most popular areas of kitesurfing and you'll often see them out on the water throughout the windy days.

Boating

If you're not quite as adventurous as a kitesurfer, you can always take up boating. Whether you prefer kayaking, canoeing or you own a powerboat, you can have all kinds of fun throughout the area.

Fishing

As one of the best areas for both fresh and saltwater fishing in all of Florida, Panama City Beach offers many places to fish off the land or in a boat. Fishing is very popular here and you can even take a short trip to Destin, Florida, which is known as one of the best fishing villages in the world.
